Product Review and Testing Policy

The purpose of our product reviews and testing is simple: to inform our audience how a product performs, where its limitations are, and what users can realistically expect from it. Our evaluations are grounded in practical use and data-driven testing. When appropriate, we may also offer our professional opinion based on experience and results.

Our goal is not to help products sell, but to help readers make informed decisions.

Transparency matters. If a product was provided to us for testing, that fact will be clearly disclosed in the review. Likewise, if we purchased the product ourselves, we will state that as well. Our readers deserve to know the context behind every evaluation.

We owe our audience honesty and integrity. For that reason, we do not charge manufacturers or vendors for product reviews or testing. In some cases, we may request additional materials, consumables, or supporting equipment necessary to properly complete a test. Any such requirements will be discussed and agreed upon before testing begins.

In addition to formal reviews, we may feature products within our articles, test reports, and technical writeups—particularly products we trust, regularly use, or believe are relevant to the topic being discussed. These products may appear in photographs, be referenced by brand name, or be discussed in context where their use contributes meaningfully to the article.

When products, equipment, or materials are provided by a manufacturer, vendor, or partner for use in an article or test, we will clearly disclose who provided what. Where appropriate, we may also express gratitude for their support. Such acknowledgment does not imply endorsement, guarantee favorable coverage, or influence the outcome of testing.

All products are tested using the best methods, equipment, and procedures available to us at the time. If issues arise during testing, we will make a good-faith effort to work with the manufacturer to understand and resolve them. However, the final review will reflect the results as they occurred.

At the end of the day, we tell the story the data supports—whether that story is positive, negative, or somewhere in between.

Manufacturers or vendors interested in submitting a product for review may contact us by email to discuss availability, scope, and expectations.
